Northbound was established in early 2010, made up of some of Darwin’s finest Australian Hip hop Mc’s, Kaotik, Draztic and Lunchbox formerly from the PUSH crew which generated a huge following in the previous years with major gigs and events such as BassInTheGrass2009.

Combining energetic beats with witty, clever and dynamic lyrics with an essential splash of the territorian lifestyle and slang, Northbound’s style appeals to more the just the stereotypical rap scene, with tracks to cater for all ears and styles of the art form.

Northbound have performed, Dj’d, battled and emceed gigs, parties and events across the Darwin Region including opening for Bone Thugs And Harmony on their World’s enemy Tour at discovery, The Break it down festival 2009 at Brownsmart, Indigenous Music award’s winners PottStreet’s High North NT Tour at the Darwin Entertainment centre and many small community gigs and workshops collaborating with artists interstate and international.

The Northbound Mixtape which was released in November 2010 was a definite success, hundreds of copies were handed out in support of the local NT hip hop scene, and the mixtape gives a glimpse of what’s to come of these 3 Mc’s in the near future.
