OzPatriarchs played at Sydney - Autumn 2012

OzPatriarchs
Forged out of the backstreets of the northern beaches, the band first came together as a response to the need for live music. The founding members, Serge "Roller door" Shultz, Bruce "berzerko" England and Mike "tangles" Williamson and Adam Bassman Walsh formed the band in the basement at Bruce's place and since have expanded to the current line up. We experiment with a few singers until Elliott showed an interested and it was an immediate success. Followed quickly by John and Jack the Singleton crew a new and innovative sound was found. With their first Indy song Gingham Dress the band started to form their unique sound. This song was quickly followed by Girl Twister and Free On. Recent additions to the line up with Bruce playing Keys are Kim on Sax and new drummer Shawn a new feel is on the way to the OzPatriacrchs. Shawn Rogutt has joined the band coming with new idea and has injected some enthusiasm and desire to make some new songs and get back to playing live, He is a man with a powerful reputation and who has his roots firmly embedded in a variety of genres but I suspect he is most fondly adored for his gutsy rock n roll origins. The band has been blessed to have its formation years with the Serge A man who was there at the beginning but was tragically taken away from the fledgling band which despite the setback managed to carve out a powerful niche in the cut-throat Australian music industry establishing itself as the premier garage band in NSW due in no small part, to the driving, hard paced, raunchy, energetic dynamo style of none other than Jack "Stix" Singleton, bith will be sorely missed as the chief engineer of the "Full Steam Ahead" style engine room. The band bid's Serge farewell and wish him luck with his new band of Foo punchers and we will most certainly look forward, and indeed welcome those very same to play as support band for the OzPatriarchs when ready.
