Fifth Fiction are a progressive/alternative rock band emerging from western Sydney, and looking to make their mark on the Sydney music scene. Forming in early 2009, they have refined their sound through extensive gigging from the Illawarra to Sydney. Their focus is on making music of raw originality, achieving this through soaring vocals, thick rhythmic textures and extreme dynamics, from flourishing melodic bass lines, complex drumming and emotionally-powered guitar solos. Thats not to say you can't hear their influences from Tool, the Butterfly Effect and Karnivool to Queens of the Stone age, A Perfect Circle and Alexisonfire. This unique sound is transformed into an energetic live show, always leaving fans dripping of sweat and wanting more! With an E.P tiltled 'Pure, Free, Wasted' and set to be released within the next month, Fifth Fiction are looking to further expand their fan-base throughout Australia and beyond!
