Trepidation played at Brisbane
Trepidation is a four piece metal band consisting of Aaron Bedford (Guitars/vocals), Kyle Little (Lead Guitar), Josh Dawson (Bass/backing vocals) and Cody Brockman (Drums) residing in Brisbane, Australia. On a mission to conquer their dreams, Aaron and Kyle spent most of 2008 together as a two piece project writing their own music and perfecting their guitar skills to the point where they could easily challenge the shredability of most professional metal guitarists in their scene. After meeting ex-drummer Jorden Rayner and ex-bassist Jesse Haywood, they became a four piece band. After recording songs and playing gigs, conflict difficulties with Jesse occurred and a new bassist was needed. Bassist Liz Sydes soon replaced Jesse, and the new four piece band was officially named “Trepidation” (After the intense feeling of fear and agitation). The bands energetic strike of melodic vocalisation, thunderous double bass drumming and screaming guitar solos is what drives the bands powerful music into what they want it to be, powerful. They performed a few local shows to get the feel of the soon to change line-up. All was well, so they progressed onto outside gigs, playing at parties and events, soon after bass player Josh Dawson and drummer Cody Brockman replaced Liz and Jordan for the final locked in combination that and are now looking at going on tour along the east coast of Australia in support of their upcoming debut album "Now Or Never" witch features 10 studio recorded tracks and the 2011 live soundboard recording of the album’s single “Take A Chance” which is expected to be released late 2011.
“We’re all about the music,” said singer/rhythm guitarist Aaron Bedford. “We’re not here for the money, fame or parties. We’re not out to achieve the ‘American Dream’, and that’s not going to change. We’re just here to show every true metal head out there what we have and what we’re about.” They've been cut down, sliced up and pushed around but they’re still fighting to get to the top and by the looks of things, they’re not giving in ‘til they get where they want to be. Although they are young (With an average age of 17), they really know how to pack a punch on stage, not just playing brutal metal, but also putting on a bit of a show for the crowd. They write original music influenced by artists such as: Megadeth, Metallica, Trivium, Alice In Chains, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, and more.
